— a love letter to the voice within
We all have those quiet moments — the ones between the noise, when the world pauses and it’s just you, your breath, and everything you’ve been holding.
No audience. No performance. Just the real you — raw, aching, worthy.
That’s when I’ve learned to lean in with tenderness. Not because life is always gentle, but because I am finally learning to be. I used to speak to myself with harshness — a voice built from pressure, perfectionism, fear. That voice didn’t know peace. It only knew survival.
But then came the shift.
Softly, slowly, I began whispering something new.
I started practicing healing affirmations — small, kind truths I could offer myself when the old stories got too loud. Not mantras to fix me, but gentle reminders to meet myself where I was.
They sounded like this:
You’re allowed to rest. You don’t have to earn it.
This moment doesn’t define you. Keep going.
You’re doing better than you think.
It’s okay to feel everything — even the messy parts.
You’ve already overcome so much. You can do this too.
Your voice matters.
You’re not behind. You’re on your path.
You don’t need to have it all figured out — you’re allowed to grow slowly.
They were simple, but they became sacred. My anchors. My medicine.
I didn’t know it then, but this was the beginning of reclaiming my inner voice — a homecoming. The more I whispered these healing affirmations, the more I softened. The more I believed in my worth, even when I was tired, even when I felt small.
That’s what drew me to music.
When words felt too heavy to say aloud, I’d find a melody and let it hold the truth for me. Through lyrics, I could speak the things I was too tender to say directly. Songs became my healing affirmations set to music.
Music reaches places spoken words can’t. It cradles the soul. It says: “You’re not alone,” without needing anything in return.
When I write, I try to craft the lyrics I once needed — and maybe the ones you need now. Words that say:
You are not broken.
You are becoming.
You are allowed to rest.
You are still lovable, even in your messiest moments.
If your own voice is quiet today, let mine speak gently to you for a while. Let these affirmations wrap around your heart like a soft blanket.
You are doing your best.
You are enough.
You are already healing.
With all my love,
Adrienn 💛
