I wrote this song for Christmas Eve 2024, on what would have been my aunt’s birthday. She passed away earlier that year, and I wanted to honour her memory in a way that felt warm and timeless. We Are the Light is also for my dad, who we miss so deeply every Christmas. This song became a way to hold onto them, not through sadness, but through love — a reminder that those we’ve lost are never truly gone.
