The Song That Helped Me Find My Way Back
There comes a moment after cancer treatment when everyone around you quietly expects life to return to normal.
But healing doesn’t work like that.
It isn’t a switch you flip one morning. It isn’t the day your last chemotherapy ends or the moment your surgical scars begin to fade.
Healing is much quieter.
Sometimes it begins with something as simple as deciding to move your body again.
After my surgery and chemotherapy, I knew I wanted to exercise. Not because I wanted to change the way I looked, but because I deeply believe that movement is one of the most powerful forms of healing, both physically and emotionally.
Recently, I started following Beautyrobic workouts by Békési Brigi. During those sessions, I found myself wishing for a song that truly reflected what I was feeling. Something uplifting. Something powerful. Something I could return to whenever I needed reminding why I had started.
So I wrote one.
That song became Becoming Her.
It Became More Than a Workout Song
What surprised me most was what happened while I was writing it.
Little by little, it stopped being just my story.
It became a song for every woman who has ever questioned her reflection.
For the woman rebuilding after illness.
For the woman healing from trauma.
For the woman living with anxiety or depression.
For the woman carrying invisible battles that nobody else can see.
For the woman who keeps getting up every morning, even when life feels unbearably heavy.
Because strength isn’t always loud.
Sometimes strength looks like simply choosing to keep going.
Becoming, Not Perfect
We spend so much of our lives believing we have to become someone different before we deserve love, confidence or happiness.
I don’t believe that anymore.
Becoming Her isn’t about becoming perfect.
It’s about becoming gentler with yourself.
It’s about learning that healing isn’t linear.
It’s about celebrating the tiny victories that often go unnoticed, the first workout after months of treatment, the deep breath after an anxious day, the courage to look in the mirror with kindness instead of criticism.
Sometimes the greatest transformation isn’t becoming someone new.
It’s finding your way back to the person you were always meant to be.
Why I Share My Music
Every song I create begins with emotion.
Sometimes it’s inspired by my own experiences.
Sometimes by someone else’s story.
But my hope is always the same, that the music makes someone feel seen.
If Becoming Her reminds even one woman that she is already enough, then it has already fulfilled its purpose.
That is why I write.
That is why I create.
