When Emotions Become Music

Every song begins somewhere.

Not with perfect lyrics.

Not with the right melody.

But with a feeling.

Sometimes it’s joy.

Sometimes it’s grief.

Sometimes it’s an emotion that’s difficult to explain, but impossible to ignore.

I’ve never believed we need to hide those feelings.

For me, songwriting has always been a way of giving them somewhere to belong.

Once they’re written, they’re no longer trapped inside.

They become something I can listen to, understand and, eventually, leave behind.

Perhaps that’s why music feels so different from ordinary words.

A melody doesn’t erase an emotion.

It transforms the way we carry it.

And maybe that’s the quiet beauty of songwriting.

It reminds us that even our hardest moments can become something meaningful.
